Joe Royer To Lead FRP Strengthening Systems Committee

The FRP Institute has named Joe Royer, Ph.D., as the chairman of the FRP Strengthening Systems Committee. Joe is currently the Director of Innovation and Technology for Critica Infrastructure, for which GeoTree Solutions is a key brand. Joe has been with GeoTree Solutions since it was originally purchased in 2012. It is now owned by Henkel Corporation. 

Joe began his career as a Research Engineer at Milliken Research in 2002 following a post-doctoral fellowship at North Carolina State University. Joe holds degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University.

He has written numerous papers and presented design details for structural pipe rehabilitation systems using geopolymer mortars. In addition to this structural knowledge, he has supervised installations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
